Jurors in Paterson convicted a 66-year-old Ecuadorian national of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. Julio Largo-Veletanga has remained jailed since city police seized him in May 2020. Detectives from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said they then interviewed multiple witnesses, including the girl. A 56-year-old Warren County man has been charged with sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl, the county prosecutor’s office said. In an investigation conducted by the prosecutor’s office’s Special Victims Unit and Hackettstown Police, Victor M. Torres, of Hackettstown, was charged with three counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and child endangerment, a news release said. The mother of a 7-week-old Teaneck infant who was beaten to death and a twin who was critically injured three years ago this weekend has been charged in connection with the case, authorities announced. Raeshonn Corbo, a 30-year-old Englewood native who was once a promising local high school basketball player, was charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, aggravated assault and child endangerment. A North Jersey man was convicted Tuesday, Sept. 20 of repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl over the course of two years, authorities said.
