Man Robbed Of Phone At Gunpoint: Newark PD A man was robbed of his cell phone at gunpoint in Newark on the evening of Friday, Aug. 9, authorities said. At 10 p.m., a man exited a business on the 200 block of Lyons Avenue when he was surrounded by a group of men who had been inside, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The men demanded the victim change the Face ID on his cell phone, with one lifting his shirt and displaying a handgun tucked into his waistband, Fragé said. Jersey City Porch Pirate Busted In Wayne: Police A 28-year-old Jersey City resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 30, after he stole multiple packages from a residence in Wayne, authorities said. Officers responded to a home in the Heritage Manor neighborhood after a resident reported he observed on his home security camera a man, Cesar Moquete, taking packages from the front porch of his home soon after they were delivered, Wayne police said in a release.
