Three people in their 20s were killed in a South Jersey crash early Saturday, Aug. 17, police said. A 2006 BMW operated by Ian P. Rodriguez, of Millville, was heading west on Mayslanding Road at a high rate of speed when it suddenly left the roadway to the right on the approach of Panther Road around 8:25 a.m., Vineland Sgt. N. Car thieves driving a vehicle stolen out of East Orange attempted to carjack a Mercedes Benz in Newark on the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 11, authorities said. A Monmouth County man was driving 117 mph just before a multi-car crash on Route 9 in Middlesex County that killed his wife and injured others, authorities said. Authorities are investigating a fiery crash that let one person dead in Roselle. It happened on the in the 400 block of East 1st Street where two vehicles purportedly collided head-on. Two motorcyclists were killed in a four-vehicle crash on Route 78 in Union County on Sunday, June 2, authorities said.
