Stella was struck by the vehicle in Hackensack on Oct. 13 and taken to Oradell Animal Hospital, where she was treated for broken ribs and a fractured pelvis.  Stella has been transferred to the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, where officials said she needs between four and six more weeks of recovery time before she can be adopted out. A motorist called GWB Port Authority Police Command station after scooping up the skittish kitty, who'd been dodging cars and other vehicles Monday afternoon, authority spokeswoman Lenis Rodrigues said. Port Authority police who retrieved the feline named her Highway, she said. Someone in another car saw Bruna, 16, being dumped on Industrial Avenue on Sept. 1 and gave authorities the license plate number and a description of the vehicle, Bergen County SPCA officials said at the time.
