Opening his own gyro shop has been on Mike Tolos' mind ever since he visited his uncle's spot in Greece as a kid. It was a hole-in-the-wall type place in Thessaloniki, and as soon as Tolos walked in, he was hit with the aroma of pork and chicken roasting on the skewers. What he enjoyed most about visiting the shop, though, was seeing the love that his uncle put into it, because he felt the same passion himself. One of the founding fathers of the Jersey Club music scene has died. Tim Foster, known widely as DJ Tim Dolla, was 39 years old. Details surrounding his death were not immediately clear. A 23-year-old American tourist who fell into Mount Vesuvius in Italy when he dropped his phone taking a selfie was rescued, NBC News reports. Philip Carroll, of Baltimore, MD, had hiked 4,000 feet up a trail that was closed to tourists with two family members on Saturday, July 9, the outlet said citing Paolo Cappelli, President of the Presidio Permanente Vesuvio. Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives seized enough fentanyl to produce nearly 3½ million potentially fatal doses, along with enough heroin to fill more than 27,000 folds, while arresting a Baltimore man. Carlo Francisco Olivar Gomez, a 42-year-old painter by trade, was caught with more than 15 pounds of fentanyl and more than six pounds of heroin, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The man who police say called 9-1-1 telling dispatchers he shot his fiancé portrayed a happy and loving relationship on social media. George Kuhn, 43, has been charged with murder in the June 12 death of 36-year-old Kristy Helmert on the 6400 block of Erdman Avenue in Baltimore, city police said.
