Feds Charge JC Ex-Con, Newark Companion With Two Shootings During Multi-Robbery Spree
A Jersey City ex-con accused of shooting two clerks during a mid-evening armed robbery spree last month was charged by federal authorities along with a Newark woman who they said was with him.
Rodney Williams, 29, and Siobhan Chandler, 19, were captured after Williams crashed their getaway during a police chase following four holdups in under an hour on Nov. 14, authorities said.
All told, the couple robbed a Danforth Avenue deli, a Garfield Avenue gas station, a Communipaw Avenue supermarket and and a fast-food restaurant at Communipaw and Crescent avenues, they said.

Pair Nabbed In Essex County Armed Robberies Had Lengthy Rap Sheets: Police
Two men with lengthy arrest records have been arrested in connection with two armed robberies -- one in Livingston and another in West Orange, local police said.
Shyhiem Clark, 24, of Newark, and Tyrese Thompson, 22, of Elizabeth, were charged in connection with the Sept. 27 incident at a Mount Pleasant Avenue store, according to police in West Orange.
The two are believed to be linked to a second robbery in Livingston on Oct. 4, authorities said.

Robbers Pistol-Whip Clifton Motorist With Fake Gun, Police Nab Two
Clifton police charged two men with pistol-whipping another during a street robbery.
His assailants rushed the 26-year-old victim as he got out of his car on Sheridan Avenue around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Detective Lt. Robert Bracken
They fled with jewelry, a designer bag, and other valuables after hitting him with what turned out to be a fake gun, Bracken said.
