A West New York man was arrested on Friday, Aug. 9 and charged with sexually assaulting a woman in the town last month, authorities said. Carlos Ruiz Castro was apprehended in Hackensack by United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 40-year-old man from Camden County has been convicted for rape during a home invasion break-in nearly 10 years ago, authorities said. Danny McEaddy, of Sicklerville, was found guilty by a jury on Thursday, April 18, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. A man charged in a Westfield home invasion sex assault was arrested in a similar incident in Plainfield, authorities said. Terence Rhue, 22, was armed when he broke into a Randolph Road home and sexually assaulted a victim inside on Oct. 4, said Union County Assistant Prosecutors Caroline Lawlor and Bryan Tiscia, who are prosecuting the case. Guest Helped Armed Robbers Who Broke Into Montclair Home During Party: PD
A 20-year-old Montclair man was accused of working with two teens who broke into an apartment during a party and held up guests at gunpoint, police said. Officers responded to the Pine Street home around 10 p.m. Friday, where they spoke with a victim and Jonathan Funderburk.
