The search for a 40-year-old man who set fire to a neighbor's home after leaving behind a suicide note ended in his arrest over the weekend in Wayne, police said.
Hector Lobo has been charged on a warrant with aggravated arson, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft, and criminal mischief early Saturday, July 6, Wayne Police Chief Jack McNiff said.

A pair of men from Ocean County have been charged with setting a home on fire in Little Egg Harbor, authorities said.
Thomas Lester, 20, of Tuckerton, and Ethan Salter, 19, of Little Egg Harbor Township, broke into a National Union Boulevard home on Jan. 8 around 2:15 p.m., then started a fire in the living room, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said on Friday, March 8.

Prosecutor: Newark Arsonist Caused Orange Fires That Injured 3 Firefighters
A Newark man was arrested after he purposely caused several fires that injured three firefighters in Orange, authorities said Wednesday.
Marvin L. Lewter, 35, set fire to two homes on the 300 block of Henry Street on Nov. 24, 2020, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Orange Police Director Todd Warren said.
On April 5, Lewter started a blaze at one of the Henry Street locations and then another on the 400 block of Codner Street, authorities said.

Ex-Husband Pours Gasoline Around Hackensack Woman's Home, Car, Police Charge
A would-be arsonist poured gasoline around his ex-wife's Hackensack house, then fled as police arrived, said authorities who arrested him a short time later.
Wildemar Dangcil, 37, of Jersey City surrendered to city Detective Kley Peralta early Thursday evening in Teterboro after police found his car abandoned at a Little Ferry shopping center, Capt. Peter Busciglio said.
His ex-wife was parked in her car in the driveway outside her Kent Street home around 5:30 p.m. when Dangcil, of Gifford Avenue, poured the gasoline from a red plastic container around it, Busciglio said.
