Tragic Accident: Car Falls Off Lift, Kills Mechanic, 46, At Lodi Auto Shop A mechanic was killed in a horrific accident Tuesday when a car fell on him at the auto repair shop where he worked. The Chevy was on a lift at John's Service on Westminster Place at Charles Street when it fell onto 46-year-old Jason Menniti of Pompton Plains, authorities said. Woman Run Over And Seriously Injured By NJ Transit Bus In Orange A woman hit by a bus Thursday morning in Orange has suffered serious injuries*, a spokesman for the city confirmed.  The woman was running along the left side of an NJ Transit 21 bus around 11:15 a.m. when she was struck, a spokeswoman for NJ Transit said. The woman was hit near Main Street and Glenwood Avenue.  Air bags were needed to lift the bus off the woman, who was trapped beneath, the city spokesman said. Lin Yi Hui of Brooklyn was operating the forklift when he got too close to the edge of a ramp, Police Cheif Michael Foligno said. State Police Identify Man Killed In Wayne Tuesday The victim in a fatal accident that partly closed I-80 in Wayne Tuesday morning was a 42-year-old Staten Island man, State Police said.  Christian More-Rodas was standing outside his vehicle on the westbound shoulder near Exit 53 around 5:40 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck, according to police.
