DUI Jersey City Driver Seriously Injures PA Man In Kearny Crash: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating a DUI crash in Kearny that left a Pennsylvania man critically injured and resulted in the arrest of a Jersey City driver, authorities said. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, Kearny police responded to a collision near the intersection of Newark-Jersey City Turnpike and Fish House Road, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Officers found a Jeep Compass that had struck a Ford F-150. Crash Shuts All Lanes Of Route 287
All lanes of Route 287 were closed due to a crash late Thursday, June 27, the NJDOT site says. The NJDOT site said police were on scene of a crash investigation in the northbound lanes south of Route 202 as of 11 p.m. The crash itself happened just after 8:30 p.m., preliminary reports say. Man, 52, Killed In Palisades Plunge
Palisades Interstate Parkway police were investigating the death of a New York City man who plunged down the cliffs near the George Washington Bridge. John May, 52, of New York City was still alive when a passerby spotted him at the base of the cliff between the northbound lanes of the parkway and the Henry Hudson Drive in Fort Lee shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, PIP Police Lt. Raymond E. Walter said. Fort Lee Ambulance Corps took May to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, the lieutenant said. Detectives were trying to determine what happened.

Pedestrian Killed On NJ Turnpike
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The driver of the car that struck the victim remained on scene and was not injured while the pedestrian was pronounced dead, Goez said. The right two lanes were closed for accident investigation.

Police: 'Other Medical Reason' Could've Caused Crash Involving Driver Wearing N95 Mask

A 68-year-old Fort Lee woman was hospitalized Tuesday after her leg was pinned beneath the front of a turning SUV near the George Washington Bridge, authorities said. A 31-year-old Palisade, NY, woman was making a right turn off North Hoyt Avenue onto Bridge Plaza North shortly before 4 p.m. when her 2012 Acura RDX hit the victim, who was in a marked crosswalk as she crossed North Hoyt, Fort Lee Police Capt.
