On Friday, June 14, Elizabeth police responded to an apartment on Fulton Street and found an 18-year-old woman suffering from numerous severe injuries, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said.
Nelson Lata-Sanchez was arrested at the scene, authorities said. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
