Firefighters responded at 106 Trumbull Street, the site of the former Singer Sewing Factory, at 5:30 a.m. after receiving reports from witnesses, Ruby Contreras, a spokeswoman for the city said.

There were no injuries and no one was inside of the building when the blaze began, Contreras said. The fire remains under investigation, Contreras said.
