Man Arrested In Deadly New Year's Day Stabbing In Atlantic City
An Atlantic City man is charged in connection with one of the city's two deadly stabbings on New Year's Day, authorities said.
Gavin Guzman, 23, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 13, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 16. He's charged with first-degree murder in the death of Nazir Cintron, 22, of Atlantic City.
Atlantic City police responded to the boardwalk and Michigan Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1. Cintron was found dead and investigators said Guzman stabbed Cintron in the chest.

14K Jersey Shore Customers Without Power (Storm Update)
More than 14,000 customers across the Jersey Shore are without power on Monday, Jan. 10, after strong winds and rain raced across New Jersey overnight.
Most of those who lost electricity are in Monmouth County, according to utility companies. Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) said 10,489 customers were without power as of 11 a.m. Those included 2,169 customers in Marlboro, 1,238 in Millstone, and 1,088 in Colts Neck.
JCP&L's outage map also said 1,901 customers lost power in Ocean County. That included 725 customers in Jackson, 564 in Toms River, and 216 in Plumsted…
Three Arrested On Drug, Weapons Charges In South Jersey: Prosecutor
Three residents of Cape May County have been charged with numerous drug and weapons offenses, authorities said.
Jamal Matthews, 26; Tyrone Brown, 28; and Azanna Shelton, 26 of the 600 Block of Adams Ave in Woodbine, were arrested for dealing methamphetamine, and cocaine, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and the New Jersey State Police.

Fugitive Arrested In Fatal Atlantic City Shooting: Prosecutor
A 36-year-old Cape May County man was arrested on charges related to a fatal shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said.
Phillip Hayes, of Woodbine, was arrested in Atlantic City on Friday, May 19 by Atlantic City police, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Hayes had an outstanding warrant in connection to the August 28, 2022 homicide of Malika McLaughlin in Atlantic City, the prosecutor said.
Hayes had been a fugitive since the warrant was issued on Oct. 5, 2022.
