Driver Practicing 'Deep Breathing Techniques' Blacks Out, Crashes Head-On In Ocean County Police in Ocean County say a driver was practicing "deep breathing techniques" just before crossing into the wrong lane of traffic in Toms River and crashing head-on into another car, injuring three people. The collision occurred at 4:55 p.m. Saturday near Hooper Avenue and Washington Street, Toms River police said. Thomas P. Zimmerman, 19, of Brick told police he was driving south on Hooper when he crossed the double-yellow lines and crashed into an oncoming car, police said. There was a report of multiple gunshots fired about 11:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Washington Street in Toms River, authorities said.
