An Atlantic City man was sentenced on Thursday, Jan, 4, to three years in state prison after police found him with a BB gun, heroin, and fentanyl in 2021, authorities said.
Atlantic County prosecutors said 43-year-old Emmanuel Diaz had been convicted of third-degree unlawful possession of a BB gun.
On Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, Atlantic City police saw Diaz walking near South Montpelier Avenue. The officers said when they made eye contact with Diaz, he put what looked like a semi-automatic black handgun in his front pocket.

Two Atlantic City men were sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison for their roles in a drive-by shooting, authorities said.
Adresce Jones, 20, and Armaad Brooks-Chappelle, 21, were sentenced on charges of attempted murder, unlawful possession of community guns, and related crimes, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
A third defendant, Quran Fenwick, 19, also of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty for his role in the drive-by shooting to charges of attempted murder and possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose.

A 27-year-old man from South Dakota has been indicted for the June killing of an Atlantic City man, authorities said.
Dominique Woodall, from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was indicted by an Atlantic County grand jury on Tuesday, Aug. 15, for the shooting death of 30-year-old Terrance Dismuke on June 16, in Egg Harbor City, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Woodall was indicted for first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, the prosecutor said.

Four men were arrested and Atlantic City police recovered two handguns and 50 bags of heroin in separate incidents, authorities said on Monday.
At about 6 p.m. on Friday, Atlantic City police officers William Akins III and Justice Martin responded to the 1600 block of Adriatic Avenue on a report of a hit-and-run crash.
