A Jersey Shore man admitted in federal court on Thursday that he committed a series of violent assaults on members of the Jewish Orthodox community in and around Lakewood.
What became a rampage over roughly seven hours began when Dion Marsh, 29, of Manchester, dragged a "visibly identifiable" Orthodox Jew out of his car, beat him and sped off in the victim's vehicle on April 8, 2022, authorities said.

Two Trenton men are accused of selling heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine across Ocean County, authorities said.
Jireh Mathis, 27, and Tashawn McDonald, 23, were arrested after a two-month investigation. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced their arrests on Monday, Jan. 29.
Police began surveillance on Mathis and McDonald in early December 2023. Mathis drove McDonald to the Green Meadow Apartment Complex in Toms River on Monday, Jan. 22.

A man convicted in a 2020 Bristol Township murder received a life sentence in a Bucks County court on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to the District Attorney's Office.
A jury found Robert S. Christie, 37, of Trenton, New Jersey, guilty in the first-degree murder of Joshua McRae back in October, prosecutors said.

Nicole Larue Walsh, a longtime teacher in Philadelphia schools and a Levittown mother of three, passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 16, loved ones said in her obituary. She was 47.
A lifelong Levittown resident, Walsh graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1994 before continuing her studies at Temple University, her obit says. She earned her master's in reading development from Holy Family College, family members wrote.
