Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died when an SUV struck him in West Long Branch. John Martin of Long Branch was killed in the crash, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said on Tuesday, Dec. 3. He was 55 years old. West Long Branch police responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 36 and Monmouth Road just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30. A Howell Township man was struck by a vehicle and killed on Route 9, authorities said. The 71-year-old man died in the crash on Saturday, Nov. 30, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. A Manalapan police officer was indicted after he was accused of inappropriately contacting a second teen girl, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 47-year-old Kevin Ruditsky on 19 counts, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Thursday, Oct. 24. Toms River Crash Shuts Down Route 9 In Both Directions
A vehicle crash shut down both directions of Route 9 in Toms River for at least an hour, officials said. Route 9 closed at around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, according to the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Traffic was blocked between Church and Cox Cro roads as first responders and investigators stayed at the crash scene. Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in.a collision with a flatbed truck in Atlantic County. Vincent Sanborn IV, 49, of Egg Harbor Township died in the collision, police said. UPDATE: The missing girl was found. A 15-year-old girl has been reported missing in South Jersey, authorities said. Jania Alex is described as 5-foot three-inches tall, Lower Township police said. She was last seen walking northbound on Route 9, leaving the Lower Cape May Regional High School. She was wearing a white shirt, black skirt and black Converse sneakers, police said. A motorcyclist was killed in.a collision with a flatbed truck in Atlantic County, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 13 on Bethel Road several hundred feet west of Route 9, Somers Point police said. The motorcyclist collided into the side of a MAC flatbed carrier truck, police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The truck driver was not injured.
