Wildfire Destroys 257 Acres In South Jersey, 85% Contained
A wildfire continued to burn in Burlington County overnight, authorities said. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service was making progress on the fire, which covered 257 acres in Washington Township. The fire was about 85% contained on Wednesday morning April 19, fire officials said. Overnight crews worked to monitor and improve containment lines in addition to extinguishing any hotspots near the fire perimeter. Route 542 had reopened. Old Church Road and River Road remained closed.

A large brush fire broke out n Burlington County, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The fire broke out on Tuesday, July 12 along Bulltown Road in Egg Harbor City. Police had closed the road from Batsto fire tower to Route 542. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES

Wildfire Burns 2,100 Acres Of Wharton State Forest
A wildfire consumed more than 2,100 acres of Wharton State Forest in South Jersey from Sunday, June 19 into Monday. Fueled by dry and breezy conditions, approximately 20 percent of the blaze had been contained as of midnight. The fire consumed parts of the park spanning Washington, Shamong, Hammonton and Mullica Townships.
