NJ Bank Robber Captured In Ukraine, Officials Say A 29-year-old bank robbery suspect who vanished after a string of South Jersey heists was found halfway across the world, authorities said. Edward Deveaux, of Berlin Township, was arrested on February 25, 2025, in Lviv, Ukraine, by Ukrainian authorities working with the U.S. Marshals Service, officials announced. The capture ends a two-and-a-half-year manhunt that began after Deveaux was charged with multiple bank robberies across Camden and Burlington counties, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. At 1:54 a.m., Cherry Hill police responded to the Republic Bank at 457 Haddonfield Road. The victim, who was making an ATM transaction, stated he was approached on the parking lot by two male suspects who had exited a parked vehicle. One of the men brandished a handgun and then struck the victim in the head knocking him to the ground. Woman Arrested In South Jersey Bank Heist: Police A 33-year-old South Jersey woman was arrested in a bank heist over the weekend, authorities said. Kiara Pierce, of Sicklerville, passed a note to the teller at the Republic Bank on Deptford Center Road, then fled in a car after receiving a certain amount of money around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, Deptford Township police said. The suspect vehicle was spotted by a patrol officer, who pulled the vehicle over and arrested Pierce, police said. She was charged with robbery, theft and terroristic threats.
