Bergen Prosecutor: Man Makes More Than 130 Bogus Calls Claiming He Sexually Assaulted Kids
A security guard who claimed to be sexually assaulting children while on the phone with 911 dispatchers and crisis hotline counselors in New Jersey and New York was charged with causing a false public alarm, authorities said.
John LaForgia, 36, of Staten Island made more than 130 bogus calls to law enforcement agencies and crisis hotlines in various jurisdictions, including Hackensack, Oakland, Ramsey, and Ridgewood, over the course of only two weeks, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Monday.

‘Operation Reboot’: 7 Bergen Men, Juvenile Busted With 32,500 Child Porn Images
Men from seven different Bergen County towns were busted with more than 32,500 child porn images combined -- among them, a trucker from Westwood who alone had 5,733 illegal files, authorities said.
Detectives who participated in “Operation Reboot” arrested the men and a juvenile while seizing files from online accounts and electronic devices of victims “as young as infants and toddlers to pubescent children aged 13-16, in nude, semi-nude, or sexually explicit poses, including child rape videos and images,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Ulta Beauty To Close 19 Stores
Ulta Beauty announced plans to close 19 stores this year.
Shops slated to get the ax have not been announced, but the beauty supplies chain has shops across New Jersey that could be impacted.
Ulta Beauty top officials blamed COVID-19’s economic disruption as the reason for the cuts.
Even while it closes some stores, Ulta Beauty has plans to open 30 more. Efforts will be made to transfer employees from closed shops to new or already existing ones, the company said in a press release.
