Dirt-Biking Trespasser Killed At Popular Jersey Shore Site, Cops Say A Brooklyn man died after crashing his dirt bike at a popular site at the Jersey Shore where police say trespassing is illegal. Joseph W. Maffia, 28, was riding a blue 2024 Yamaha YZ450F when he hit the crest of a hill and dropped ten feet into a sand embankment at ASARCO, or Heritage Minerals, in Manchester Township, ejecting him from the bike, just before noon on Saturday, March 15, police said. Jersey Shore Wildland Arson Investigation 'At An Impasse,' Prosecutor Says Authorities from the Jersey Shore say they have been unable to identify those responsible for setting a suspicious wildfire last month. The fire consumed 167 acres of land in Brick and Lakewood in March, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Prosecutor: Man Who Torched Lakewood Home With 3 People Inside Charged with Attempted Murder A Jersey Shore man set a Lakewood home ablaze with three people inside, said authorities who charged him with attempted murder. U.S. Marshals captured Jamal Preston, 25, of Egg Harbor Township on Monday and turned him over to local authorities to be charged with four counts of aggravated arson in the Aug. 22 fire on Park Place, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D.
