Teens Sentenced In Arson Fire Along Garden State Parkway: Prosecutor
Two juveniles from Brick Township have been sentenced in connection with an arson fire along the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. Both I.J. and A.R. were sentenced to 60 days in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center as a condition of three years probation. They've already served the detention center time, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Additionally, the Court ordered $15,000 in restitution to be split evenly between the juveniles. Three people were arrested with loaded handguns and hollow-point ammunition in Atlantic City, authorities said. At 2:02 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, Atlantic City police officer Ivan Cruz conducted a motor vehicle stop on three vehicles in the second block of South Arkansas Avenue after previously observing the vehicles driving at a high rate of speed in the area of Missouri and Fairmount Avenues. A 16-year-old suspect wanted for robbery was arrested after being identified in a video posted on social media, authorities said. On Dec. 26, a video was posted to Facebook depicting a teenager assaulting and robbing an elderly woman in the 1500 block of Adriatic Avenue, Atlantic City police said. The video shows the juvenile attacking the woman for several minutes, demanding money, and going through her pockets. A 15-year-old boy has been sentenced to 11 years of custody under the Juvenile Justice Commission in connection with the stabbing death of his dad, a popular and beloved taxi driver on the Jersey Shore. Jersey Shore Teenager Gets Probation In Shooting, Robbery
An 18-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has been sentenced to probation in connection with a shooting, authorities said. Michael Jedziniak of Seaside Park was sentenced to a four-year suspended sentence on Monday, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Jedziniak previously pled guilty to armed robbery and a weapons charge, Billhimer said on Tuesday. A 14-year-old suspect has been taken into custody and charged with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing of a beloved taxi driver on Saturday, authorities said. The juvenile, whose name has not been released, is accused of killing Mohammed Khater, 38, of Brick Township at 2:45 p.m. in a residence, according to Ocean County County Prosecutor Bradley D.
