Acua Holds Absecon Landfill Odor Meeting South Jersey residents turned out in droves to air their frustrations over the stench caused by landfills that's been stinking up their neighborhoods for decades. Absecon Landfill Meeting With Acua Leaders with the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) will meet with residents in Absecon to talk about a smelly problem that's lingered in the city: Odors from a county landfill. The City of Absecon said the ACUA will hold a town hall meeting about the stinky issue on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Absecon Municipal Complex.
