K-9 Dog, Police Officer Struck By Fleeing Stolen Car In Atlantic City
An Atlantic City Police officer and his K9 partner were struck by a driver fleeing a motor vehicle stop in a stolen car, authorities said. At 9:03 p.m. Tuesday, Detectives Christopher Dodson, Alberto Valles, and Eric Evans spotted a Ford Fusion that had been previously reported stolen, police said. The same vehicle had fled an attempted motor vehicle stop by an Atlantic City police officer earlier in the day and was not located. A 29-year-old Philadelphia woman's deadly leap from an Atlantic City casino parking garage has been ruled a suicide, authorities said. The suicidal woman, whose name was not released, jumped from an upper level of the Ocean Casino Resort's parking deck just before 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. UPDATED: Atlantic City detectives have concluded that a 29-year-old woman from Philadelphia died after intentionally jumping from a casino parking garage, authorities said. The suicidal woman, whose name has not been released, apparently jumped from an upper level of the Ocean Casino Resort's garage at 8:34 p.m. on Wednesday, according to police.
