Asbury Park Restaurant Fined For Discriminating Against Nonbinary Customer, AG Says
A restaurant in Asbury Park was fined after it was accused of having a dress code that discriminated against a nonbinary person, officials said. Brando’s Citi Cucina agreed to several punishments, including a $5,000 payment to the customer, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a news release on Friday, June 28. The restaurant was found to have violated the state's Law Against Discrimination (LAD). South Jersey Man Committed 'Smash-And-Grab' Burglaries Along Jersey Shore: Police
An Ocean County man was accused of several "smash-and-grab" burglaries along the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Todd Lansing, 46, of Brick Township, was charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, third-degree theft, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools. The Brielle Police Department announced his charges in a news release on Thursday, Mar. 28. The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the arrival of mysterious tar balls on beaches from Sea Bright south to Asbury Park. Areas affected include Gateway National Park at Sandy Hook and the shoreline at Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, Deal, Allenhurst and Asbury Park.
