Man Arrested In Jewelry Store Burglary In Morris County: Police
A Mercer County man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a jewelry store in Morris County, authorities said. Jerome B. Howard of Lawrenceville also is a suspect in an earlier break-in at a jewelry store in Chatham, Madison police said. His age was not released. At 3:43 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, Madison Police responded to an activated burglar alarm at Gerlach’s Jewelers on Main Street, police said. Turnpike Crash Blocks All Lanes In Mercer County
A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike had all lanes closed in Mercer County early Tuesday, Sept. 26. The state's DOT website shows the crash around 5:20 a.m., in East Windsor, south of Interchange 8 on the southbound side. A serious crash closed a roadway in Mercer County, authorities said. Old Trenton Road between Edinburg and Newport was closed at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 due to the crash, West Winsor police said. Police, fire and EMS were at the scene. A 40-year-old man from Monmouth County was arrested twice on back-to-back days in Mercer County, authorities said. The first arrest happened in the Aldi's parking lot at 440 Route 130 in East Windsor, police said. A 25-year-old engineer from Mercer County was killed this week by a wrong-way driver in Massachusetts, where she lived and worked, police said. Geetika Guruprasad, of West Windsor, died just after 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, in Littleton, a suburb of Boston. A 36-year-old man from Mercer County was fatally shot in his home, authorities said. The victim has been identified as Anthony Irizarry of Lawrence Township, they said. A crash was reported on Route 130 in Mercer County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3 p.m. Thursday July 20 in the southbound lanes of Route 130 near Conover Road in East Windsor Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
