Driver Airlifted After Crashing SUV Into Jersey Shore Home On Labor Day, Police Say
A driver was airlifted after crashing into a home in New Egypt on Labor Day, authorities said. Plumsted police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the crash at the intersection of Brindletown Road and Front Street early in the evening on Monday, Sept. 2, the township said in a Facebook post. The driver was the only person in the SUV and was taken by helicopter to a hospital. No one was in the home during the crash. Crews worked to make the house structurally sound and "delicately" removed the SUV.

A New Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Pennsylvania gentlemen's club that left an innocent bystander with critical injuries, authorities announced on Thursday evening, Aug. 29. Pedro E. Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton, NJ, was identified as the shooter, police had announced on Thursday morning, Aug. 28. Rodriguez and another man fled after the shooting at The Border at 440 S. Teen On Bicycle Suffers Serious Injuries In South Jersey Crash, Troopers Say
A teen riding a bicycle was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Pittsgrove, authorities said. The 14-year-old was struck on County Route 553 on Tuesday, Aug. 27, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 27.7 at around 11:35 a.m. Investigators said the teen left a parking lot and didn't yield to traffic. The Audi was traveling north and crashed into the bicycle. The teen was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No one in the Audi was injured. The crash remained under investigation.

A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck on his bicycle in South Jersey on Friday, June 14, authorities said. Three people were hospitalized when a fire destroyed a home early Monday, July 31 in South Jersey, authorities said. Two cats and a dog died in a pre-Christmas fire that severely damaged a Bergenfield home. More than 100 firefighters battled a major house fire as this week's blizzard ramped up in Central Jersey, authorities said. The fire started in a wood-framed, mixed-use building on Broad Street in Manasquan shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday. The building’s owner told News 12 that three people lived on the upper floors of the building and that they were able to escape.
