Camden County Man, 28, Shot Dead In Mercer County
A 28-year-old man from Camden County was shot dead in Hamilton Township, authorities said. Matthew Morales, of Blackwood, was identified as the shooting victim early Wednesday, May 17, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. Hamilton police officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 4900 block of S. Broad Street shortly after 1 a.m. Police found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. A mandated review is being conducted of the shooting death by two Newark police officers of an armed man moments after another city man and an 8-year-old boy were slain in a nearby apartment. Officers responding to a call on Johnson Avenue found the adult victim dead and the boy gravely wounded shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said on Thursday. Cumberland County Man, 29, Sentenced In Shooting Death: Prosecutor
A 29-year-old Cumberland County man has been sentenced to 40 years in New Jersey State Prison for a fatal shooting, authorities said. Frank J. Baker, of Seabrook, was sentenced in connection with the murder of Jair Rennie, 22, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Baker apparently was jealous of his ex girlfriend’s new boyfriend, so shot him four times, prosecutors have said. The fatal shooting occurred in Gouldtown, Fairfield Township on July 20, 2019. Trenton Man, 46, Shot Dead: Prosecutor
A 46-year-old man from Trenton was shot and killed over the weekend, authorities said. Daniel Garvin was fatally wounded in the shooting at 8:21 p.m. on Friday, April 14, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office. Trenton Police received a ShotSpotter activation for six rounds in the area of 328 Rutherford Avenue.
