4 Handguns Recovered After Shooting In Atlantic City: Police
A ShotSpotter alert led to an arrest and the recovery of four handguns in Atlantic City. On Friday, Oct. 14 at 11:30 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to the intersection of Pennsylvania and Adriatic avenues. Responding officers arrived to find evidence of gunfire and received an update of a possible shooting victim at a residence in the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue. Officers subsequently found a male shooting victim, 19, of Atlantic City. 33-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Trenton: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old man was shot and killed in Trenton afternoon on Sunday, Oct 9, authorities said. Officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation in the first block of Ewing Street found Daquan Brown lying on the ground at Kersey Alley with a gunshot wound to the shoulder around 3:10 p.m., the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said. Brown, of Trenton, was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made. Accused South Jersey Killer Remains At Large In Shooting Father Of 6: Prosecutor
U.S. Marshals are searching for a fugitive in the killing of an innocent bystander, authorities said. Herbert R. Lee Jr., 36, of Bridgeton, was shot to death July 30 while trying to break up a fight at Maplewood Gardens apartments. He was survived by six children, a fiancée and a sister. Police identified the shooter as Ryan A. Askins, 29, of Bridgeton, who remains at large. Another armed man involved in the fight was charged with a weapons offense. Police ID Woman Found Shot Dead In Philadelphia Basement
Police have identified the woman found unresponsive in a Philadelphia basement over the weekend, reports CBS3. Deja Monae Lewis, 25, was found with three gunshot wounds in the basement of the home in the 2000 block of Napfle Avenue shortly before noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, continues the outlet. Lewis was rushed to a hospital where she died from her wounds a few hours later. Lewis's last registered address was also on the 2000 block of Napfle Avenue. Two men killed in a shooting at a bar in Suburban Philadelphia have been identified by loved ones as close childhood friends. South Jersey Pair Charged With Illegal Handgun Possession
Two men from Burlington County were arrested and charged with illegally possessing handguns, authorities said. Brandon T. Russell, 20, was charged with weapons offenses and receiving stolen property, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Charges against a former US Marine have been upgraded to murder after the victim who he shot in the head outside of a New Jersey sports bar died, authorities confirmed. Walter J. Gilliano, 25, of Franklinville, was initially charged with attempted murder, after he shot 31-year-old Chad Stuart in the head outside of Villari's Sports Bar around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the Franklin Township Police Department. Teenager Shot Dead In Atlantic City: Prosecutor
Police are investigating a double-shooting in which one person was killed. On Sunday, Sept. 25, Atlantic City police responded to 1009 Pacific Avenue for reports of two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were provided medical treatment and transported to the emergency room. The gunman accused of opening fire at a Jersey Shore hookah lounge killing one person and wounding two others last month is wanted on a warrant, authorities announced.
