PA Skydiver's NJ Death Probed By FAA: Report
The Federal Aviation Administration and officials in Gloucester County are investigating a fatal skydiving accident. Timothy Joseph Slachta, 48, of Garnet Valley, died Wednesday, May 10 while jumping over Monroe Township, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer and 6abc. Skydive Cross Keys told the outlets that Slachta had completed more than 700 jumps, and that at the time of jump on Wednesday, his parachute was deployed at normal altitude and fully inflated when he jumped out of the plane. Ex-Marine Indicted In South Jersey Bar Parking Lot Slaying: Report
A 25-year-old former US Marine from Farnklinville was indicted by a Gloucester County grand jury last month on charges stemming from the September 2022 bar parking lot shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead, NJ Advance Media reports. Walter J. Gilliano was indicted on one count of first-degree murder and two second-degree weapons charges following the Villari's Sports Bar slaying of Vineland's Chad Stuart, the outlet said. Police in Gloucester County are investigating the theft of a portable trailer used to smoke food, authorities said. The owner of Fat Jack's BBQ in Williamstown said the "smoker," valued at $30,000 reportedly was stolen overnight on Sunday, according to this Facebook post. First Responders Called To 'Serious Crash' In Gloucester County
Police, firefighters and EMS crews responded to a "serious injury" motor vehicle crash in Gloucester County.
