A Monmouth County man will spend more than 20 years in prison after admitting to killing his father and hiding his body in their home almost two years ago, authorities said.
Kenneth Knapp Jr., 32, of Matawan, was sentenced on Thursday, Apr. 18 to 30 years in state prison, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. He pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Jan. 23 to first-degree aggravated manslaughter and second-degree desecration of human remains.

A Pennsylvania man will spend at least two decades in prison for killing two people during an illegal car rally in Wildwood, authorities said.
Gerald White, 38, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 8 to 25 years in prison, for killing two people at the violent H2oi car rally in 2022, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced.
White has a long history of traffic violations in New Jersey, dating back to 2005. After other repeated offenses, he was charged with having a suspended driver's license during traffic stops in 2011, 2013, and 2020.

A 33-year-old Glassboro Township man faces 20 years in New Jersey State Prison for shooting another man after an argument in Camden, authorities said.
On Tuesday, May 16, Angel Torres pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Michael Giancola in 2021, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.
At 5:58 a.m., on Jan. 2, 2021, Torres encountered Giancola, 24, of Collingswood, on the 1800 block of South 6 Street in Camden City, MacAulay said.

A 54-year-old man from Burlington County has admitted to killing his mother last year, before hiding her in the trunk of his car, authorities said.
Brian K. Templeton faces up to 25 years in state prison on the charge of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said.
Templeton pleaded guilty on Thursday to killing his mother at the Courtyard Apartments in Edgewater Park last year, Coffina said.
