Firefighters doused a blaze on the Atlantic City Boardwalk Wednesday, Nov. 15. The two-alarm fire broke out around 3:50 p.m., outside Resorts Casino Hotel. Woman Killed In Jersey Shore Apartment Fire
A woman was killed in an apartment fire at the Jersey Shore early Wednesday, Nov. 15, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. at Evergreen Terrace Apartments in Red Bank, a public housing complex off Drs. James Parker Boulevard, authorities said. A source said the woman was about 90 years old. News12.com said the fire victim had an oxygen tank in her possession. Red Bank police were not immediately available. A mother and her son were killed in a fire at an apartment complex in Burlington Township, authorities said. Police saw heavy smoke coming from an apartment at Northgate Village Apartments when they were called at 3 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 24, said Lt. Arthur Gittens, a Burlington Township police spokesman. Grace Presbyterian Church, a 99-year-old Montclair institution, suffered extensive damage after a three-alarm fire tore the building on Tuesday morning, August 15. Montclair firefighters rushed to Grove Street and Tuxedo Road at 8 a.m. and found the fire reaching from the basement to the roofline at the back of the church, Deputy Chief Robert Duncan said. Three homes were damaged and three firefighters hurt in a four-alarm fire in Burlington County, according to news reports. The fire broke out in a home on the 100 block of Cherry Street in Mount Holly at about 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13.
