According to the Daily Voice Instagram poll, 89 percent of people (1,135) …

'Raise Your Sleeves': Six Vaccine Mega Sites Coming Next Month To New Jersey
Six vaccine "mega sites" are expected to open across New Jersey in early January, Gov. Phil Murphy announced during Friday's COVID-19 briefing. The sites will be able to inoculate frontline healthcare workers, and will accommodate essential workers before moving to adults over the age of 65 and those with high-risk medical conditions. The news comes three days after a nurse at University Hospital in Newark became the first New Jersey resident to receive Pfizer's vaccine. Since then, "healthcare heroes" have been vaccinated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, Atlant…

New Jersey will continue to provide emergency child care assistance to essential employees through at least the end of May, state authorities announced Tuesday. The amounts paid per child: infant, $450.35; toddl…

Cashier: NJ's Most Vulnerable 'Playing Russian Roulette' At Work Need Hazard Pay
Editor's note: The subject of this story has requested anonymity over privacy concerns. A North Jersey cashier at a major pharmaceutical chain has enjoyed her part-time job for the last five years. Like so many other essential workers, however, she fears for her life. The mom of two explained she's particularly at risk because the medication she takes for an autoimmune disorder suppresses her immune system. Thousands of the 718,000 New Jersey residents who filed for unemployment in the last month are still waiting for their claims to be processed. “I cannot wait mon…
