Lamaas Arthur, 55, of Port Norris, received citations for disregarding a stop sign and careless driving, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Video from a 6abc.com television helicopter shows smoke billowing from the home that also caught fire on Battle Lane in Commercial Township. Marvin Stidham was convicted by a Cumberland County jury on Thursday, Jan. 25 of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree child endangerment, according to county Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Stidham was acquitted on a charge of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, she said. Motorcyclist Dies Of Injuries From South Jersey Crash: Njsp A Cumberland County man died of his injuries from a motorcycle crash, authorities said. Jason Derby, 50, of Commercial Township, was riding eastbound on Route 767 in the township at about 7:30 a.m. on May 26. Derby's motorcycle left the road and struck two street signs and a tree, according to New Jersey State Police. Derby suffered serious injuries and died the next day, police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

22-Year-Old Driver Dies In Route 55 Crash A 22-year-old man died after he lost control of his car and a crashed in Gloucester County, authorities said. Zachary Hansen, of Commercial Township, was traveling north on State Highway 55 in Franklin Township early Dec. 10, when he veered off the side of the road near milepost 40.8, New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota said. Hansen's vehicle -- a Scion -- overturned struck a southbound side guardrail, ejecting him, Slota said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still investigating the accident.
