Bergen County District Suddenly Terminates Super, Hires New One With Double Doctorates Ramapo-lndian Hills Regional High School has hired a new superintendent. In a unanimous vote on Tuesday, May 28, the RIH Board of Education voted 9-0 in favor of approving Dr. Ronnie Tarchichi's contract, which goes into effect July 1. The board also voted 7-0 with two abstentions to terminate the contract of interim superintendent Dr. James Baker. When asked about the sudden termination of Baker's contract, the BOE declined to comment on personnel matters. Jeff Bezos' Ex-Wife Divorcing Suburban Philadelphia High School Chem Teacher Husband Jeff Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie Scott has apparently filed for divorce from her second husband Dan Jewett, who taught chemistry in suburban Philadelphia, after less than two years of marriage. Scott, 52, filed a petition for divorce Monday, Sept. 26 in the King County Superior Court in Washington State, the New York Times reports. Jewett reportedly did not contest the divorce. Jewett and Scott confirmed their marriage in a statement released March 6 on the Giving Pledge website, a campaign that encourages wealthy people to donate a majority of their wealth to charity. Northampton County Chemist, Bethlehem High School Grad Kevin Chomicki Dies, 26 Northampton County native and local chemist Kevin Chomicki died Nov. 21 at the age of 26. Born in Perth Amboy, Chomicki was a member of the graduating class of 2012 at Bethlehem Catholic High School, where he played on the football team and threw shot put and discus in outdoor track and field, his obituary says. Chomicki then attended Moravian College, where he pursued his passion for chemistry with a certified degree and a membership with the American Chemical Society, his memorial says.
