US Marshals Nab Ex-Convict Who Knew Victim In 7-Eleven Fatal Shooting, Mercer Prosecutor Says
A South Jersey ex-convict has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in connection with the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old Trenton woman that he knew, authorities said.
Joshua Lopez, 23, of Ewing Township was charged with first-degree murder and several weapons offenses in last Tuesday's shooting death of Katherine "Kat" Montenegro in Hamilton Township, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.

Two Fatal Shootings In Trenton, Woman Shot In Head
UPDATED: Trenton police were called to multiple shootings on Saturday night, with at least two people killed, authorities said.
They mark the 31st and 32nd homicides this year in the state capital, twice as many as all of 2019 -- when there were 16 homicides, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
About 7 p.m., two people were shot in the first block of North Hermitage Avenue, one fatally, according to Casey DeBlasio, spokeswoman for the Mercer County prosecutor.

Trenton Shooting Victim, 26, Identified
The 26-year-old man from Trenton shot to death on Monday has been identified, authorities said.
Derek Colley was shot multiple times about 4:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Spring Street, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
No arrests have been made and the homicide remains under investigation, Casey DeBlasio, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor, said.
It marks the 30th homicide in the capital city this year, nearly double the total -- 16-- all of last year, according to DeBlasio.
