Basketball legend Dikembe Mutombo, who played for the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks as part of a Hall of Fame career, died of brain cancer at the age of 58, the NBA announced on Monday, Sept. 30.

Support is on the rise for a South Jersey pharmacist who’s been battling brain cancer since 2014, recently undergoing his third surgery and enduring seizures almost constantly.
John Marcheski, of Sewell, had his first operation following his initial diagnosis in 2014, according to a GoFundMe describing him as a “friend, co-worker, son, brother, father, grandfather and husband to Katie Marcheski.”

A Pennsylvania community is mourning the death of a boy who tragically lost his battle with brain cancer on Thursday, Sept. 22 — just one day after his sixth birthday.
On the morning of Ryder Knechtle's birthday celebration, he was fine. Like any other child, he loved to play games, read his favorite book, and even watch "Peppa Pig" with his family.
