Home Explodes In South Jersey: Njsp A home exploded in Cumberland County causing heavy damage and leaving one resident injured, authorities said. Video from a 6abc.com television helicopter shows smoke billowing from the home that also caught fire on Battle Lane in Commercial Township. The roof was ripped off and there was a damaged vehicle visible from the 4:45 a.m. blast on Monday, May 13. Upon arrival of New Jersey State Police, the residence was fully engulfed in flames.
