Evan Hayes Arrested
An Atlantic County teen was charged in a double shooting in the parking lot of a Galloway shopping plaza on Easter, authorities said.
Evan Hayes, 18, of Mays Landing, was arrested on Friday, Apr. 5, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release. He was given several charges, including aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Two Pleasantville teens, ages 17 and 16, were injured in a shooting near the Hoon King Chinese Restaurant at around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 31. The restaurant is in The Shoppes at Galloway on East Collins Road.

Galloway Man Killed By Driver, 29, Who Crossed Center Line In Hamilton Crash: Police
A 62-year-old man was killed in a Route 50 crash Saturday, Feb. 17, authorities said.
Thomas Nyers, of Galloway, was heading north on the roadway in Hamilton when 29-year-old James Langlois, of Richland, was heading south in a 2017 Dodge Ram around 6:05 p.m., Hamilton police said.
Langlois crossed into the northbound lane of travel hitting Nyers' vehicle south of Old Egg Harbor Road, authorities said.

Pedestrian Killed Crossing Route 9 In Cape May County
A 61-year-old man was struck and killed as he crossed Route 9 in Middle Township on Wednesday, Nov. 15, authorities said.
Lee Nelson, of Rio Grande in Cape May County, was heading east when he was hit by a northbound vehicle at 6:29 p.m., at the intersection with Route 47, Middle Township police said.
The victim was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City where he was pronounced dead at 7:52 p.m., police said.
