Jersey Shore Home Struck By Car Twice In 8 Days
For the second time in eight days, a car plowed through the same Jersey Shore home, authorities said. At approximately 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Wanamassa Fire Company was dispatched to Bimbler Boulevard. The fire chief from the Ocean Township department found a vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a home, the department said on Facebook. "This may look familiar, as yes, this is the same exact home that was struck about a week ago," the department said. Business owners and downtown residents of Asbury Park were shaken up by a pair of manhole explosions Thursday morning. No one was injured but at least 400 customers lost electricity after two manholes exploded about 9 a.m., authorities said. Jersey Central Power & Light crews were investigating a cable vault that may have been the source of the problem. : Responders Rescue Utility Worker Who Fell 10 Feet Into Tinton Falls Work Space
Responders in Monmouth County used a stokes basket to rescue an injured utility worker who fell 10 feet into a work space last week. The worker fell into a work space near Shafto and Wayside roads in Tinton Falls the morning of June 9, bringing several fire companies to the scene. Assisted by Tinton Falls EMS, the Neptune Township Special Operations Rescue team and members of the Asbury Park Fire Department packed the worker into a stokes basket and pulled him to safety using a rope system.
