The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, according to New Jersey State Police.
The explosion occurred Friday at 4:50 p.m. on a 33-foot Sea Ray at C dock in the marina, according to Sgt. First Class Lawrence Peele, an NJSP spokesman.
State troopers, Atlantic City Fire and Rescue, Atlantic City EMS and the U.S. Coast Guard responded.
"One person on another vessel was injured by flying debris," Peele said.
The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening, Peele said.
No other people, or boats were damaged in the explosion, according to Peele.
The state marina is located off of Huron Avenue, not far from the Coast Guard's Atlantic City station.
