Pop Culture Phenom Hulk Hogan, Pro Wrestling’s Biggest Star, Dies Just as he was larger than life in the ring, Hulk Hogan’s outsized legacy in sports and entertainment will loom for years to come.  Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea and who became a global icon as professional wrestling’s most recognizable figure, has died at 71. Wrestler ‘Buff’ Bagwell Gets Leg Amputated Following 2020 Crash: ‘I’m Taking This By The Horns’ Five years after he was involved in a gruesome car crash, Marcus "Buff" Bagwell is facing his latest battle outside of the ring. The five-time WCW World Tag Team Champion underwent an above-the-knee amputation after multiple attempts to repair damage from the 2020 crash were unsuccessful.
