State Troopers, Civilian Driver Injured In Garden State Parkway Collision
Two New Jersey State Police troopers and a civilian driver were hospitalized after a collusion along the Garden State Parkway. Troopers were arriving to assist a motorist who struck a dee when they were rear-ended in Old Bridge, said Trooper Charles Marchan, a State Police spokesman. Neither trooper had exited the State Police vehicle when it was rear-ended. The crash took place at 2:29 a.m. Thursday May 4 near milepost 121 southbound, Marchan said. Worker Mowing Grass On Rt. 80, State Police Say (

Human remains were found by a transportation department worker on Route 80, state police confirmed. The NJDOT worker was mowing the grass when the remains were found near the eastbound lanes on the right shoulder in the grass at milepost 16.6 in Allamuchy shortly after 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. The remains were identified as those of a Black male, Marchan said. The cause of death is unknown. The incident is under investigation. Additional details were not released.

Philadelphia Driver, 29, Killed In Violent NJ Turnpike Crash
A 29-year-old Philadelphia driver died in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Sunday, July 24, authorities said. The unidentified woman was heading south on the inner roadway in a Mercedes Benz when she struck the rear of a BMW around 3:30 a.m. in Cranbury Township, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan said. A GoFundMe campaign had raised more than $4,700 as of Tuesday evening for the family of the 29-year-old man struck and killed by a car on the New Jersey Turnpike early Monday morning. Francis S. State Police have released the name of a 29-year-old motorist who was killed Monday morning while crossing the inner lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike, troopers said. Francis S. Marte, 29, of New Brunswick was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Middlesex County, according to Trooper Charles Marchan.
