Two right southbound lanes were closed as of 4:30 p.m.

Details Released In Deadly Route 22 Pedestrian Crash In Branchburg (Update) A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 22 Wednesday night, Oct. 30 in Branchburg, police said. The 48-year-old Plainfield man was walking in the middle of the highway when he was struck by a white Ford Econoline van in the westbound lanes just past France Drive around 8:30 p.m., Branchburg Police Capt. Edward Edgar said. Multiple Water Rescues In Central Jersey Due To Severe Flooding Police, firefighters and EMS crews were busy rescuing stranded motorists as flood waters rose, authorities said. In Dunellen, Middlesex County, there was a report of a water rescue that required mutual aid about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Multiple water rescues also were reported in Monmouth County, reports said.
