19 Arrested During Targeted Crackdown On Drugs, Guns In Atlantic City: Police
Nearly 20 people have been arrested in a major crackdown on drugs and illegal guns in Atlantic City, authorities said. The Atlantic City Police Department announced the 19 arrests in a news release on Wednesday, Nov. 27. A weeks-long operation targeted drug activity and "quality-of-life issues" in the neighborhoods surrounding Florida, Bellevue, and Texas avenues. A total of 17 men have been arrested for luring children in Atlantic City with help from concerned citizens who bust child predators online. The citizens were identified by BreakingAC as MrWEB and Predator Catcher PA. MrWEB recently posted a video called "JUSTICE- Thank You Atlantic County Police, Prosecutors, & Shafiq - 26 In 2 Weeks." Jersey Shore Man Jumps From Caesars Colosseum Parking Garage
A 62-year-old man from Ocean County jumped to his death from an Atlantic City parking garage, authorities said. Patrol officers found the man next to the Caesars Colosseum parking garage on the first block of south Michigan Avenue. The unidentified victim, from Manahawkin, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personal shortly after noon on Wednesday, police said.
