Engine Failure Risk For 1.4M Honda, Acura Vehicles Prompts Federal Investigation
Federal investigators are looking into more than 1.4 million Honda and Acura vehicles after reports that their engines could suddenly fail.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation into 1,410,806 Honda and Acura cars, SUVs, and minivans. The probe was opened on Wednesday, Aug. 20, according to NHTSA documents.

Motorcyclist Killed In Garden State Parkway Crash: Njsp
A 67-year-old Seaside Heights man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County Tuesday, Aug. 5, authorities said.
Troopers responded around 5 p.m. to a crash on the southbound side of the Parkway near milepost 89.9 in Lakewood Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Honda CBR motorcycle and a Ford SUV were both traveling southbound when, in the area of milepost 89.9, "the Honda struck the rear of the Ford," Lebron said.

BMW Crashes, Flips In Garden State Parkway Fatal, 2 Flee Scene, Njsp Says
One person was killed and another seriously injured after a BMW SUV packed with four Staten Island residents crashed and flipped along the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police said.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, near milepost 130.2, in the southbound lanes of Woodbridge, according to a release from state police.
Troopers say the BMW SUV hit two other vehicles, a Ford SUV and a separate BMW passenger car, before running off the road, striking multiple trees, and overturning.
Of the four people inside the BMW SUV, two fled the scene, police said.

Off-Duty Trenton Cop Timothy Long Killed In Fiery Crash On Route 295 (Update)
An off-duty Trenton police officer was identified as the victim killed in a fiery crash early Sunday morning, June 22, on a state highway, officials confirmed.
Timothy Long, 50, was driving a Honda SUV northbound on I-295 near milepost 45.8 in Westampton Township around 5:58 a.m. when he lost control, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
The vehicle went off the road, struck a traffic sign and a tree, then caught fire, according to Marchan. Long died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
