A dead whale was towed to the Jersey Shore after it was caught on the bow of a cruise ship, officials said. The cruise ship in the Port of Brooklyn, New York, reported the sei whale was caught on the front of the vessel on the morning of Saturday, May 4. Kayak Fisherman Found Dead In Jersey Shore River: State Police
A man fishing in a kayak was found dead in a Jersey Shore river, authorities said. Diego Ferreira, 37, of Long Branch, was found dead in the Navesink River in Middletown, a state police spokesperson said. Investigators said Ferreira was fishing in the river at night on Monday, Mar. 25. Ferreira was reported missing to state police at around 5:22 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 26. Sailboater Rescued From High Winds, Rough Waters Along Jersey Shore
A man was rescued after his sailboat was caught in high winds and rough waters in a Monmouth County estuary, officials said. The Atlantic Highlands Fire Department received a report on Monday, Mar. 11 of a sailboat in distress in the Shrewsbury River, which flows into Sandy Hook Bay. Authorities Probe How Local Man Found In Sea Bright Surf Died
How a financial adviser who was found in the surf off Sea Bright died remained a question entering the weekend. Authorities weren't sure whether Henry C. Steady rain brought some instant misery for motorists in Central Jersey, authorities said. Firefighters were called to Sea Bright on Friday morning on a report that multiple vehicles were stuck in rising floods.
