Two Teenagers Broke Into Middle School: Middlesex Borough Police
An 18-year-old and 16-year-old, both residents from Middlesex, were arrested and charged with breaking into a middle school, authorities announced Friday, Aug. 15. On Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 1:13 p.m., a Middlesex Borough School District official reported two people had unlawfully accessed Von E. Mauger Middle School the day before and stole $700 in equipment, Middlesex Borough police. Several people were injured after a truck collided with a school bus in Brick on the morning of Thursday, March 6, authorities said. At 8:21 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Cherry Quay Road after the operator of a pickup truck, following too closely, caused a rear-end collision with a school bus, Brick Township police said. A brand-new study has uncovered surprising trends in teen phone use during school hours, raising fresh concerns about digital distractions in the classroom. Social Media Post Threatening To Kill Blacks Under Investigation In South Jersey
Police in Salem County are investigating a racist social media post that threatens to kill blacks, NJ Advance Media reported. The post depicts a young person wearing a mask with text on the photo saying: “(N-words) need to die they need to Dieee," the outlet said. CDC: COVID Vaccinated Students, Teachers Don't Need To Wear Masks In Classroom
Fully vaccinated teachers and students do not have to wear masks while in the classroom starting this fall under brand-new COVID-19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on Friday, July 9. The updated recommendation comes as more than 55 percent of the United States' population has received at least one vaccine dose, including more than 47 percent who are fully vaccinated.
