Two men were accused of stealing from several businesses throughout Ocean County, authorities said. Ryan Dautorio, 34, of Jackson Township, and Damian Sanchirico, 36, of Brick Township, were charged with several counts of burglary and theft. Toms River Man Sentenced For Dealing Heroin Throughout Ocean County
A Toms River man was sentenced after admitting to selling heroin throughout Ocean County, authorities said. Zachary Lockwood, 25, was sentenced on Friday, Apr. 5 to 10 years in prison, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced in a news release. He'll be eligible for parole after five years. Lockwood pleaded guilty to possession of one-half ounce or more of heroin with intent to distribute, being a certain person not to possess a weapon, and resisting arrest on Monday, Feb. 12. A teen driver crashed a car into a school bus in Ocean County, authorities said. The body of a Toms River man reported missing was found in a body of water on Thursday, March 28, authorities said. John Applegate, also known as “Bubby," was found in an area of water between Lakehurst Road and Route 37, after having been missing since Friday, March 24, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A pedestrian was critically hurt in a crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. At 9:31 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, Toms River police and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Route 37 and River Drive. The initial investigation revealed that a 42 male from Lodi stepped into traffic, outside of the crosswalk, and was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound, police said.
