Feds: Armed Fugitive In 7-Hour Hudson Hotel Standoff Was ‘Prepared For War,’ ‘Ready To Die’
UPDATE: A heavily-armed fugitive who held tactical officers at bay for nearly seven hours at a Secaucus hotel told police that he was “prepared for war” and “ready to die,” the U.S. attorney for New Jersey said Monday.
ATF agents charged Rahim Harris, 42, of Maplewood, with being a convicted felon in possession of weapons and ammo, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.
His wife, Haneefha White, 39, of Pottsville, PA, who was with him, is charged with aiding and abetting the possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.

Taxi Rolls, Crashes On Route 3 During Robbery Attempt
A moving taxi overturned and crashed on Route 3 in Clifton when a passenger from the Jersey Shore stabbed and slashed the driver during a robbery attempt, authorities said.
The cabbie was taking Jordan White, 20, to Montclair after picking him up in Manhattan when White convinced him to open the divider between them on westbound Route 3 around 4 a.m. Monday, Lt. Robert Bracken said.
White, of Galloway in Atlantic County, pulled a box cutter and demanded the driver's cellphone and cash, Bracken said.

UPDATE: Four Paterson residents and a 4-year-old Pennsylvania boy were killed on Route 3 in Rutherford late Sunday when their SUV slammed into the back of a front-end loader, authorities said Monday.

Irvina Gee, 20;
Sheckylle Chain, 23;
Ayana Navas, 16;
Noah Alexander Dejesus, 4, of Allentown, PA.
